Enhancement what are stat improvements

Does any one have what enhancing actually does for weapons and shields? (beyond the visual affects it has that is)

Archer/cleric/fighter weapons: increases the dmg
mage weapons: increases mdmg
armor/shields: increases defense

LOL...... I actually figured that part out. Deductive reasoning is a skill I picked up in my old age.

I was actually refering more to the percentage gain received from enhancing per stages.

i.e 1% gain lvl one, 3% gain lvl two so on and so forth.
