I'm looking up broadband plans for a new place..

And all those jargons are making me dizzy @_@

Naked broadband, broadband with netphone, wifi modem.. ADSL 1,2,3,4...

Wat happened to the normal ADSL and cable?

What exactly is naked broadband? Like I can only get a naked broadband if I've already got a phone line?

It means you can get DSL service without having a dial tone (and related telephony service) on your line.

So I can just sign up for a naked DSL and I will get Internet?

I don't need an active phone line?

We have 1 broadband here and it works fine. o-o

No naked or anything.

Hell, I'd pay extra.

But yes, if you use a naked DSL line, you will get internet but not be able to use a regular phone with it.

Is ADSL2+ usually provide a good enough speed for gaming and downloading?
