2G and 3G network...
Whats the difference between 2G and 3G network..
I'm going somewhere that looks like they only have 2G coverage.. will I still be able to access the Internet without 3G network?

They refer to different "generations" of cell phone tech. I can barely connect to the internet on AT&T's EDGE network, which is technically 3G. It really depends on your phone and what it means by the area being 2G. Does it mean it runs on GPRS? Because that'll be slow as all hell even if your phone will connect.

She wanted to know if her phone would connect to a 2G network, which it will for calls, but if she can get a data connection it will probably be shit.
