Is it asking to buy a new subscription or something totally different?
If it's something different then I suggest you clear out your comp of any possible malware.
I get redirected to a random page saying I have a virus and have to scan... pfft, as if.

something totally different... how do i delete the malware?
it's doing that exact same thing to me... it's happened once before, but now i've got McAfee, and this random message is coming up... so if you could tell me how to clear it, i would be extremely grateful.

Try CCleaner?
And a virus scan perhaps with your current protection.

After you clear it off, dump McAfee. If you ever decide to stop renewing the overprice subscription, McAfee decides you are in fact a virus and will kill you in your sleep.
Well, it'll do all sorts of irritating things to your computer, at any rate.

I'm not technical myself. But if you search it on google it really does wonders.
When you see the pop-up again type in any part of the pop-up that would indicate what it might be. I'm sure that there has been at least another person who had the same problem.
