Best Basic Necklace?

I was wondering, what neckalce is the best for a mage? Curse, ilness or poison resistance?

Poison. Since mages have the weakest defence, there is a very high chance of dying from it, if there is no cleric around to cure you.

if its a necklace for the beginning of the game, then i would suggest poison resistance.

later on in the game (after you get dispel) you would'nt really need curse resistance since you could cure it so you might wanna get illness or poison resistance.
