Recording Fiesta On Video (How?)

I know that there are a few programs out there to record online games with, but I wanted to know which one is the best for free, and if I do have to buy one, which one is best suited for recording Fiesta footage?

I use Fraps. You have to pay for Fraps to get its full functions, but using the trial version works fine for me. The main limitations for trials version is that you can only record 30 seconds max and it has a relatively small watermark at the top.

It depends what you're looking to record. If you want to record gameplays (e.g. kingdom quests) and want to catch the whole run through... well, trial version will be way too limited for that since you can only record 30 seconds at at time. Then again, you can put bits and pieces together I suppose (I did that myself)~

If you're just after making clips and such, 30 seconds limit is fine. I have no problems with it.

There's other ones like hypercam... but I think that comes out dodgy if you try to record fullscreen... but if you play Fiesta in window mode, not sure how it'll turn out.

So does FRAPS 30 second stop every 30 seconds and you have to start it again, or does it record in 30 second clips until you tell it to stop recording? Sounds tedious.

It stops, you have to start it again yourself.

If you're looking to record gameplay stuff like KQ, yes it will be annoying because you have to play the game and watch the number at the top at the same time.

But if you're making movie clips, it's usually fine cos you don't usually get scenes that run for more than 30 seconds straight.

hmmm you tell it to start.. and then u can tell it to stop anytime before the 30 sec mark...

but once it hits 30 sec, it just stops, it doesnt cont automatically, you have to tell it to start again...

I see. I download it and play with it a bit. The videos I see online always lok so awful. I made one for POTCO but I never but it online and it looks a lot better than the stuff I see on Youtube.

You've also got to keep in mind YouTube tends to compress the hell out of things. That really drops the quality of the videos.

That's true. I try to make it small enough so Youtube doesn't have to do so much work.

Xfire does it too, as long as you want and for free. Only problem is that its completely uncompressed video so you will chew up disk space FAST.

Havent tried it with Fiesta but I use WM Recorder for screen capture
is nice
dont remember if its free or not though
