We would cause a riot too... or I hope we do..

that is just stupid and rediculous... it made me think if they're still thinking about protecting our children...

I don't know if this article is trying to say that they want to block everything on BT and P2P files.. or just the things that's on their "not acceptable" list...

But either way, I can assure you that they'll block out a heaps of appropriate materials and still leak through the stuff they "should" be blocking...

the biggest debate is still "what exactly are they blocking?"

I dont think they've ever revealed the list of criterias on wat they consider as "inappropriate".

To filter something, they would first have to identify what files are being transferred. That would require some sort of way to tell what every single damn packet is carrying, determine what is legit, then let it pass. That would be a massive, massive undertaking. Much easier just to cut it all off.

Our government sucks when they try to play with technology...

Maybe one day they would say "this project cost too much, it's gonna get scrapped"

They've done that to all the other plans that should've gone though....

They've done that to all the other plans that should've gone though....

I did a research paper over the Guggenheim Bilbao, and in a Harvard Journal I was looking at, it said that the Sydney Opera House was initially over 1000x over budget because of political reasons.

Making a comparision today, Australia has been more and more about political endeavors and gains rather than about the people, and from what I've heard, for the freedoms that they do offer, it can be often repressive at times. Then again,this is word of mouth I've been hearing.

I'll try to stay out of LUEville though.

I dunno if this is true, but I feel like we spend billions each year on "consultancy fees" and by the end of it they tell us "you dont have enough budget to run with this project... coz all the money u told us that you got, just barely afford our bill"

We've got many many many many transportation projects on improving our system cut off mid way coz it exceeded the budget too much

it makes me mad!!!!!!!\

and here they are wasting money on this rubbish!!

they've got a filter for parents.. just promote it and develope that!!
