That's what I thought too. Especially if you're gonna be spamming MM1, what's that like 3 sp? I took lotsa spr to crit with and got plenty of sp anyway. After those 10 skill points though, I don't know what to do either. Just save em for a while I guess. Maybe do something with magic burst.
