Well to the question of what goes on on the minds of these people, I believe the answer is - nothing. I think that they think that its perfectly normal. To give an example, around 3 years ago I thought it was pretty horrible to cheat during exams (call me a goody-goody
). But now, I do it every other time without thinking (Don't call me down for cheating now, ok? You won't believe my college and what it puts me through). I know it seems a pretty tame example compared to roasting a helpless baby, but I used to think about it with the same degree of helplessness, frustration, and incapability of understanding, that I think of these problems with now.
