Summary: Ichigo Kurosaki has had the ability to see ghosts since he was very young. His mother was killed when he was very young, and now he lives with his two sisters and father. One night, after getting home from a dangerous incident, Ichigo is laying in his bed, when a young girl jumps through his window. She introduces herself as Rukia Kuchiki, and explains that she is a Shinigami (soul reaper), and that she slay enourmous manifestations of evil spirits called hollows. Ichigo's younger sister Karin, is attacked by a hollow at that moment. Rukia attempts to fight it but is injured, she asks of Ichigo to take her powers and become a substitute Shinigami. Ichigo then kills the hollow with his sword, know as a Zanpakuto.
Ichigo and his friends have many adventure throughout the series, and tackle a rising opponent, the Arrancars....
