I come from a family who is based on "success", and their idea of you being successful isn't you being happy or being successful in what YOU Want - its you being successful the way THEY want.

So, speaking from experience - Just be yourself. You shouldn't have to prove yourself all the time - to your parents most of all. So stop trying to improve, unless its something you want to improve upon just for yourself. Otherwise, its not worth it.
