I really like the spot that Blaaaahs marked with "herbs." There are always a lot of herbs and mushrooms there except... I never went because it is kind of out of the way and me, as an archer, didn't like dealing with the monsters there.
I think the circle marked both is OK though. That's where I farmed for a while. There are still some mobs there but they are easier to avoid.
