Yep. I'm almost 99.95% positive it is a bug that hasn't been properly reported yet.
The past two days, I mined 23 stacks of 50 Sap and one stack of 15. I wonder how much time I would have saved... >.> I had one time where I got the orange bar 3 times and still didn't stop. >.>
