Okay, here’s the thing – if you sit and wait for someone who doesn’t want to be with you there is a good chance you will overlook someone who does want to be with you. And you didn’t know they wanted to be with you because you were too focused on the person who doesn’t want to be with you.

Even if the person who doesn’t choose to be with you were to break up with your friend and decide to be with you, in the back of your mind lurks that knowledge that you were second and it will cause you to subconsciously do or say things that would probably jeopardize the relationship.

In the end you lost time wishing for that person, used valuable time with that person progressing through a doomed relationship and lost time mourning the end of that relationship. Damn lotta time lost there.

Now, on the other hand, if you make yourself accept that that person chose someone else and you open your head, heart, eyes and mind to the other potential relationships you can prevent the lost time, hurt emotions and possibly prevent that person who does want to be with you from going through the same thing you are going through.

Think about opening your head, heart, eyes and mind to the other potential relationships and just for the pure pleasure of it go out and buy a couple dozen fresh flowers – they don’t have to be fancy expensive flowers, lots of grocery stores carry mixed bunches relatively cheap – anyway, buy a couple dozen the day before Valentines Day and clean the stems so they are free of leaves and debris. On Valentines Day take them to school and randomly give one flower each to as many girls as you have flowers. Don’t plan who gets a flower and don’t pick & choose, just be as random as possible. This should make not only all those girls happy but you also just for the random act of giving out flowers.

There, now instead of dreading Valentines Day you have a purpose and goal.
