^ so true, happens a lot where I work because I'm surrounded by people who don't know much about asians... literally got the "where are you from from" question before!

Once, this man from the printing company that we are a client of dropped by to see how we were in the new year, and he asked me "so did you go back home for christmas?" and I was like "uhm.. no? I was the one who went back to adelaide" and he goes "oh I thought you went back home"

And I was sooooo confused cos I was thinking how on earth do you go on holiday back to home...... when my friend explained to me later he probably meant china as my home. Which really pissed her off for thinking we don't belong here LOL.
