I've just been asked... in MS Excel..

"How come sometimes when I drag a number down, it copies the same number

1
1
1

but sometimes it changes the number

1 carol street
2 carol street
3 carol street"

I've never thought of asking anything like that.. I just accept it hand change it to what I need...

I guess I can go into explaining cell formats but... I think that might go right over their head..
