I got a reply from Newegg after I resolved the issue...
"Thank you for contacting Newegg.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we would be unable to confirm what the problem could be. Newegg employees such as me aren't technically certified. I definitely don't want to provide you with wrong information and cause any type of inconvenience."
