In the United States, Rainbow has revoked the distribution rights for the entire series from 4Kids, and was seeking for a new partner.[4]

On September 2, 2010, Nickelodeon announced through a press release that they will be co-producing seasons 5 and 6 of Winx Club.[5]

In late February of 2011, Viacom stated that Keke Palmer will not be playing the voice of "Keisha," but rather Aisha (Layla), Keisha being a typo. [6] In late March of 2011, Molly C. Quinn announced she will be voicing Bloom. [7] Josh Keaton announced that he will voice Valtor in season 3. [8] Ariana Grande announced on May 22 via Twitter that she will be voicing Princess Diaspro, a minor villain, in the new dub.[9] Romi Dames has also announced that she will voice Musa.[10][11] Elizabeth Gillies and Matt Shively will play Daphne and Sky, respectively.[12]

The U.S premiere of the fifth season of the series is scheduled to air in February of 2012 on Nickelodeon.[13] Nickelodeon will release four one-hour specials summarizing the first two seasons beginning Monday, June 27, 2011, and their dub of seasons 3 and 4 can be expected in the fall. Season five will premiere in February of 2012.[14]
