Is it just the browser where the blurry text is appearing or is it any program? Like a word document or playing a game etc

Fiddled around with it for a bit but I can't seem to get it back the way it used to be. The only thing I did to my computer was upgrade Microsoft Security Essentials. I wonder if that affected it? D:
