There's a lot of reasons.


*Power-creep
*Nerfs to solo-lane xp when that's the set-up Nasus needs
*Too easy to be harassed/denied xp
*Dependence on early-game farming for late-game scaling
*Negativity when picking him in Ranked
*Best slow in the game doesn't mean much
*Nasus needs a real-tank to do his job of off-tanking
*I needed to expand to more than one champion-role (Still useless with DPS champs, semi-useless with Mages)
*No way to to interrupt channeled abilities
*Very low mobility
*Relies on static team-fights


It's not that I won't ever pick him. It's just that when I look at the usual team-composition and ask who's the right champ to pick, Nasus is very rarely the right answer.
