No that is not rich, but for firsts characters it is not bad. It depends on how much you spend in-game. As a cleric, the first "big" investment I made was a blue 70 shield for about 2g - other than that only fail blues/purples for >200s, no scrolls, no pots - but I was highly party dependent.
