In all honesty... it may be cheaper to keep an eye out for deals and buy a brand new laptop. If mobility isn't too big of a concern, a desktop would be a better investment in funds. Laptops are a pain to deal with simply because all the parts are basically proprietary, as you cram them into such a small case.
