So I'm thinking about upgrading my laptop...

Okay, so I wanna upgrade my CPU. I've been doing some research, and the whole theory of it is rather complex. So far I have 1 question:

For what variables should I keep a look out? I read that different processors have different slot types, and something about setting voltage amounts inside the BIOS. Seems complex and I never was too hardware-savvy.
