If a program runs on Windows Vista fine it will run on W7 fine. Many many people are switching over to Windows 7 now because it was a huge improvement over Vista. That was the only reason to stay with Windows XP but now that Win 7 is released there isn't any point on using XP if you have the option of upgrading to Win 7.

Very very few programs/drivers have slight compatibility problems with Win 7 this would've been the same with Vista since how should I say it. "Run off the same core"

But dont expect that to last long now that XP is obsolete. Go with Windows 7 its definitely better than both XP and Vista. In the long run its by far the best choice.

Win 7 takes some getting used to since its Interface is quite different from Windows XP. It took me about a week or so before I fully got used to it since I never even tried Vista as I went from XP straight to 7
