I thought a .rep file extension was a StarCraft replay file.

Edit: Looks like it's also used as a proprietary format in a CRM (Customer Relations Manager) program. That's probably what it's meant to be. You'll either need that software or request it in another format. Sometimes GoogleDocs will be able to convert some obscure format like that.
