Every character have a different characteristic, I went from a Cleric to Archer and I thought Archer died a lot.. (I just got myself killed 5 times with the Mushroom Fighter at level 5, when I could handle it with a cleric)

Mages definitely have the squishy-ist base stat... you make it up with good END gear or even enhanced armours...

but I guess at low level (under 30) you just have to be careful, learn to kite (run and hit) and fight stuff maybe 1 or 2 levels below you...

I use to hate my mage, but it's now my highest level character coz after lvl 60 it's so easy to AOE with a cleric..

But that's up to you.. maybe try a fighter if you're sick of dying.. keke
