Hm.... I think that he actually wanted to die. he knew he couldnt accept the way things were going, and that he would just make them worse, so it would seem that he was almost begging Manhattan to kill him.
@Hrae: You mean the graphic novels? not yet. i've just been watching scenes from the movie online and it made me wonder about Night Owl.
And while watching some of these clips, i've realized something: The comedian's even more freakishly psychopathic than rorschach.
