Here's a nice trick to check for keyloggers:

1) Start >> Run >> 'CMD'
2) Type "netstat -ano" (without the quotations)
3) Look to the PID category
If it's 0 means none of programs is using that port
look at the port and at what it does e.g. Listening, Established
If it's listening and its more than 40,000 be 98% sure its a keylogger.
More sophisticated and laborious methods can be found here.

On a side note, it is a matter of opinion really: Spybot S&D is not as good as it used to be any more (you can ask this on any security forums like BleepingComputer, SpywareInfo, PCPitstop, etc.). If you use Firefox, the addon WoT would be a nice replacement for McAfee Site Advisor. As for ThreatFire, the latest test reveals that it fell short of expectations.
