I wouldn't think so. PSP came out before the DS, and when PSP came out, it was way too much of an advance on the gameboy or gameboy advanced to be considered copying Nintendo. And the PS3 and Wii came out about the same time, if I remember correctly, the PS3 came out
before the Wii. And you can't even compare those two consoles. Wii is more of a child/family/party console while the PS3 is more for a serious gamer, while both cost a crapload of money x.x
Since then they really haven't done too much, they released PSP slim, which had no other changes other than being a thinner PSP, and the PS3 just got some kinks fixed. And I don't think we can really blame any console for the "internet access" trend. Although PS2 did have available modems to connect to the internet.
I think Nintendo noticed the hype on the interactive games, such as DDR, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band, and decided to milk that, coming up with whatever they could as an interactive game.
