Considering the scope of the problem, I guess they had nothing else to do.
I wish they would increase the time of extra drops and experience. Unfortunately for me, it kills off the chest I got right after Fiesta came back from emergency maintenance yesterday - Blessed Xir4 and Lix4 and several scrolls, plus 4000 points on my mages stone making.
