That's not true.
The reason why it's usually the singers that win is because singers can do something different with their talent every week whereas if you have an amazing cup stacker or a hula hooper or whatever, that's really cool. But what's he going to do different next week?
Also, the audience can't really do anything on Got Talent because it's ultimately the judges that give the Xs.
Also, on American Idol, the people that are chosen to be on the show are because they are good singers but also if they will sell lots of records. And they have an age requirement. For America's Got Talent or Britain's Got Talent, they really don't have age requirements (which is why the two best singers on Britain's Got Talent is over and under the Idol age limit).
