Linux is generally praised for it's brick wall of an antivirus, But slwly, More and more viruses are becoming linux-specific, THough still small in number. I do not like Vista in most cases, It acts like a paranoid wife looking for your mags, But it is pretty good in letting you knoww hat is trying to access your files.
I prefer useability, Windows XP is pretty good for people who don't get TOO hardcore, Though i repair computers, I think that XP is probably the best choice for people with no skills, But Vista is probably just as good, If you don't mind how much slower your computer actually is with it.
But yeah, XP for easieness, Vista for the tech, Linux for protection.
