Yeah, the "they could become another Lincoln" statement is just plain stupid. They could also become another Mussolini. That isn't to say they will be.
As long as the foetus is completely dependent on the mother for basic survival, then it's the mother's choice as to whether she wants to keep it, because the foetus is as good as a part of the mother.
