Bad bad advise you are giving there.

There have been many a kid who ended up in a bad way because they were in places they should not have been with people they should not have been with and thought they were so cool coz they pulled one over on their parents. And I knew someone who ended up in a state of a 14-yr old body with a 4-yr old mind when she was beat near to death and left for dead when she lied about where she would be that night.

To the OP, wait and be patient. too many people prey on kids who are too young to be out like that.

If my mom snooped through my room I'd kill her.
My room is mine and she respects that.
Another thing about the honesty. I dunno I cant compare
my mom to alot of parents though because we've always
had a kinda friends relationship. I like taking my mom to lunch etc.
And I can never understand why parents ground their kids for dumb things
or dont let them out for no reason.

Ummm... We would have just had to go to war over that "mine" part. The way I see it, since I paid the mortgage, it belongs to me, I am letting you use my space until you are old enough & financially able to provide your own place.

If you are old enough & financially able to provide your own place, then I say move out and you don't occupy my space.

And I don't rent my space out to people (not even family) because I don't plan to risk some dumbass trying to run a crack-shop (or any thing else that would put my home at risk) in my house because they pay rent for the space.
