Localization takes appx 6 months for most games. Most CONSOLE games. A F2P MMO is going to have, naturaly, far less content than a console game in terms of text that needs to be localized, especialy one that has already been established like Fiesta NA. Now they only translate small ammounts of information like new quest dialogue, weapon names, descriptions if any. But about 6 months for new features sounds about right for comming from KFiesta to Fiesta.

As far as content goes, I know you dont want to hear this, but its true. Outspark has to weigh what will work with what they have going and what will not. KFiesta and Outsparks final vision for the game are two totally different animals because North American gamers are FAR more fickle. They tend to wane after so many months of toiling and grinding to level cap, whereas alot of Korean gamers will wake up, set up a vendor, go to school, get out of school at like 8pm (after electives), come home, eat, grind till one AM and repeat the cycle. And they will do this for months on end. thats how my korean roommate explained it to me when I asked him the difference between Korean and American gamers.

So basicly Outspark comes together and figures out what they want to add, tells Onson Soft what they want, OnsOn soft tells them out of what they want what will work and what wont, then OS gets a package. They test it, translate it, polish it (If you can call it that. Translation seems to still be an issue) then they distribute it.

Not to mention OS cant just add a bunch of stuff at once or their casual american gamer demographic will lose interest, and overall I think thats who they target. Casual gamers. So they dont want to flash away their prime market, you know?

I'd rep for the post but can't because I already did for something before D:

Well said.
