Well grapefruit was once known as the forbidden fruit. You could try working that into the saying.

It has also been called one of the seven wonders of Barbados.

They also can be cooked to remove the tartness and just leave the sweet flavor making them good to use in desserts.

The oils from the peel are also used in aromatherapy.

Also back in the 1800s grapefruit was called Citrus paradisi.
