Anything and everything is fair game to be lost.
Which is why you get rich in game money, and never have to spend a penny on CS items ^^
Just buy a Guardian Angel off of someone, and when you die you lose nothing.
They run for about 40k a pop, though.

spend the money for 10k more you bind the item to you, and never have to worry about freaking dropping anything.
Only problem is that when the item is bound, you can't trade, discard, sell, auction, move to anything other than your bank and your inventory.
When you're done using it, you have to destroy it.

I pay to play the RL MMORPG, College. 4 years grinding in college gets you a piece of paper for the rest of your life and you can buy enough stuff to +9 your car//house.
