^ That helped me when we had to walk at night. It used to be that you can buy alcohol and cigarettes from vending machines too. But they just adopted a new system where you have to have a card that checks your age. *0*
But who'd want drinks from vending machines when you have a bajillion izakayas you can choose from with lots of nice drinks. xD One of the first izakayas we went into had an electronic menu so you jsut send in your order and the waiters/waitresses bring you the food. You can pretty much order whenever you want and they don't have to wait around for you~
