Party Ham Sandwiches
Ingredients:
2 packages Pepperidge Farms party rolls (20 per pkg)
1 lb. ham...sliced paper thin
1 stick margarine, softened
1 small onion, grated or chopped
3 Tablespoons Poppy Seed
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 Tablespoons Mustard
8 to10 ozs. Swiss Cheese, grated or shredded
Directions:
Combine margarine, onion, poppy seed, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
Split entire package of rolls so that they open like hamburger buns
(the next step works better if you can keep the sides of the rolls connected).
Spread inside both sides with onion mixture (leave bottom of rolls in foil pan).
Sprinkle bottom lightly with cheese, then put 3 to 4 layers of ham and sprinkle again with cheese.
Place top back on rolls. Cut into individual rolls, leaving in pan.
Wrap in foil and bake in 350 degree oven 15 to 20 minutes.
These freeze beautifully - prepare the same as above, but after wrapping in foil,
slip them back into plastic bag the rolls were in originally and freeze.
The night before serving remove them from freezer and put in refrigerator
to thaw overnight and then bake when ready.
