That's the thing... when I'm sitting in a class learning it, it's not big deal, same thing when I'm just talking to people, just this test made me choke up hard for some reason.

Lack of practice maybe?

A lot of people are like this. They speak fine to people but they don't do as well on a test because a test tends to be a lot more structured and in my experience, it really restricts what you can do with a language. Also, like you mentioned, tests make you talk about stupid stuff like life on Mars.

In AP Spanish, we would always get the hardest stuff to talk about or listen to. One passage was about PLANTAINS... *headdesk*
