Well, I never really rushed through many kingdom quests (except when Dynamics is in my party >_>) and when people do rush, I don't really care. Sometimes I rush forward with them, but sometimes I just lag behind with the slow people. I haven't actually failed this kingdom quest by rushing before. I may have failed once or twice in Closed Beta from this, but back then almost everyone was a bit noobish so we failed fairly easily.
If I lag behind with the slow people, I usually tell them to just ignore them, and let them see me running away from them (meaning no more heals for them) and they naturally follow anyway.
