Yep, I already got Vitality and Mentality + unequipped bow, boots and shirt at my last (and most successful, still not perfect...) attempt. Worked pretty good.
But when I really need them, something gets slow and I cant use stones or pots, which means 'next hit->death'
And no, they are not blocked, just not fast enough: I hit the key, the cd starts but the HP have not yet arrived, the final shot comes and I am dead.
That's why I am trying to be able to take more dmg without healing... I am about 60% to 21 from quest rewards alone, so... should be possible to get to 22 or something without big problems.
