A different thread I was reading made me think of this...

A while back my son...who is 9...asks me “dad, if we didn’t have the grill and the microwave was broken, how would we cook hot dogs?”

…well, after cleaning the couch due to wetting myself from uncontrollable laughter, I asked him to think about it. After a few minutes of pontification he looks at me quizzically and says with a questioning voice “the toaster?”

so I had to explain that "in the old days" we had to boil our hot dogs in water on the stove.
I only wish I could post a picture of the complete and utter look of disbelief on his face...priceless

A co-worker of mine had a similar story about his daughter who was 4 getting frustrated at not being able to "pause the TV" at her friends house (She has had a TIVO her whole life, but her friend was not so advantaged)

Anyone else have similar funny stories of ‘youngins or from their own youth?
