What does fame do besides buy alchemy stones from that person in Elderine, (I think it was the Item Merchant that was selling them and maybe they are called something other than alchemy stones, but they are the red ones needed for material composition and decomposition).

Is there something else we will need our Fame points for?

There's skills you can get with fame, from the same person

I would think certain quests wouldn't open until a certain level of fame achieved but they all seem level based.
