I think that up until the level 50 Abyss you should probably have a party with you. For some reason in the level 50 Abyss I was able to have a whole room to myself and kill at a pretty good rate. Then again I'm a Fighter, full END with Devastate empowerments maxed out.

Though, my level 40 Cleric did pretty well in GC soloing. :3
