Spirit's biggest failing was in that she did not understand or accept when I tried to explain to her that once kids knew she had been in trouble for fighting that they would try to taunt her into fighting again since she would be in more trouble for each successive incident whereas many of them would get off lighter for first offenses. But she was weak to that one flaw - temper. As soon as they nudged that temper all hell broke loose. If she could have ever learned to ignore the fools she would have been in less trouble, but . . . suffice it to say there are adults in and around our community who still fear the wrath of Spirit.
