actually i think it would make sense, just some things you wouldnt exactly understand, this is after all before FFVII, so i'm sure anyone could pick it up and understand it.
And the FF's arent really connected at all lol, so if you havent played VII, you could still play IX, this one is just the story of the character zack from VII
