Just watched ep 6 (in aired order) where the the mansion dude just died, but next episode, something totally different. If I keep going to the end, would I realise that it makes sense?

Yeah, that's a two-part episode. The second part is the 8th episode. Though I still advocate first watching it in the aired order, I do actually think that those two episodes should have been kept together since they were so closely linked.
Anyway, yeah I think everything is made clear in the end.
