Like hyperswoss said, they're technically not responsible for time lost. Which would apply to normal patches and updates, that's fine with me cause every game has one and 2 hours (maybe 4 for really big updates) isn't going to actually kill me. They have also mentioned that they have more control over Cash Shop items... which seems odd. Cause aren't you fiddling with game data here as well? And if you are able to fix up game data for CS then I would think that you'd be able to do that with the actual game itself. If they need permission to do it, I'm sure an e-mail or phone call wouldn't take too long to get permission. They can just send the dev team in Korea what they're going to fix up and then get the thumbs up for it.

In addition, even though they are not responsible as stated in their ToS... it's mostly there in case anything does go wrong. So that they can just fall back on it and say "they're not responsible" instead of taking a blame or having to refund. Of course they don't care about CS being wasted... they've already got their money. That being said they would build a much, MUCH better customer/player trust if they made up for mistakes whether it was a whole server crash or a faulty patch.
