Me too, but y'know it's still costing us money. Even if you make your own since otherwise you'd be selling the materials you use to make the potions. I never bothered trying to figure out which would save me more money, but sometimes I think it would be cheaper to sell
everything and just buy from people. Stock up when you come across a good deal.
Anyway, as for HP, I play fairly recklessly for an archer and end up using both up anyway; sometimes as quick as the cooldowns allow for either if I'm in an area a good bit above my level. I don't like resting so I just plow through and while gobbling up stones and pots until I'm empty then head back to town. Not the most economic approach to grinding I guess but it's a lot less boring.
As for SP, that's not generally a big problem for me. I just use whichever. Potion if I actually think about it.
